This was the first piece I created after moving to Savannah, inspired by the elegant live oaks and their curtains of Spanish moss. Wanting to bring a little of my French roots into the scene, I thought of the lavender fields of Provence and, just for fun, turned the trees lavender blue. I loved the result so much that I kept the color exactly as it was—and never felt the need to change it.
This piece has become a favorite with many of my customers, perhaps because there is something both peaceful and unexpected about those lavender-blue trees.
