A quiet path curves beneath magnificent live oaks draped with Spanish moss, while the warm glow of an old-fashioned lamppost gently lights the way.
The rich greens, warm golds, and deep earthy tones give this Savannah landscape a feeling that is peaceful, grounded, and quietly inviting.
And once again, there is a path.
Paths appear in my work again and again.
I think that is because they naturally become a metaphor for life for me.
We choose a direction. We begin walking. And although we may have an intention for where we are going, we rarely know exactly what we will discover along the way.
When I look at this piece today, the words that come to me are adventure, intention, trust, and confidence.
There is a difference between drifting through life and walking your path consciously.
Living with intention does not mean having every detail planned. It means knowing what matters to you, choosing your direction, and then trusting yourself enough to keep moving even when you cannot see the entire journey ahead.
The path in this image curves gently out of sight.
To me, that does not feel uncertain.
It feels inviting.
There is something ahead to discover.
The glowing lamppost adds another feeling I love — a little warmth and reassurance along the way. We may not be able to see the entire road, but sometimes there is enough light for the next step.
Path of Intention reminds me that we do not need to know everything before we begin.
Sometimes we simply choose our direction, trust ourselves, and walk.
If dust gathers on your canvas, gently wipe it with a clean, slightly damp cloth.
