What happens when you stop trying to write something meaningful and simply write whatever comes? For me, a simple morning practice became a doorway into places within myself I never knew were there.
We say things to ourselves we would never dream of saying to someone we love. Sometimes the words are so habitual, we don't even hear them anymore. What if we started listening?
Fear doesn’t always mean stop. Sometimes it simply means we’re stepping beyond what is familiar. The question is: where are we putting our attention?
Hope doesn't promise us the ending we want. It gives our hearts somewhere to go besides despair—and sometimes enough light to take just one more step.
The world contains fear, pain and uncertainty—but it also contains beauty, love, kindness and joy. Every day, we get to choose which part of reality receives most of our attention.
Why does it take a tragedy for us to remember how much we need one another? We already know how to come together. The question is whether we can choose kindness, love, and generosity every day.
Sometimes loving someone means staying close enough that they can feel our love—and stepping back enough that they can feel their own heart.
Whenever I actually paid attention and later had a way to verify what my intuition had told me... it was right. Every single time. The only times I can't tell you whether it was right are the times when I wasn't paying enough attention to remember the message in the first place.
When I started therapy and began doing the deeper work of understanding myself, I discovered something that astounded me. So much of the work I needed to do came down to learning to say one very simple word to myself: Yes!
Talent simply needs room to be recognized, appreciated and expressed in whatever way is authentically yours. What is YOUR talent?
